Cotton sash cord resists stretching and has a fiber core. The solid braided construction helps the rope hold its round shape under pressure and load, making it useful in pulleys and winches. It cannot be unraveled, even when cut. This rope has an SWL (safe working load) limit of 14 lb. and is white in color.

I LOVE this product. Other than the price (which I wish could be a bit less :-))it is truly what it claims to be...100% cotton rope...NO synthetic anywhere. I use it to make fabric covered baskets and it is great. I have tried to order other ropes that I thought were 100% cotton, but when they arrived, somewhere in tiny type on the label it had the 'poly' word....not so this one. It really is great for what I am using it for.
