This thing is awesome. I mean, seriously. They used to charge $100 shipping, but then they got real and started using UPS for $50. Apparently, the guy that delivered this to my parents' house (they got it for me for Christmas) was amused, as they don't sell many to residences. But why not? Pay $100 and get some folding piece of plastic that will break the first time its abilities are overestimated, pay $150 and get something decent, but with limitations, or just pay the $250 and get the best that will always be there and never disappoint.

Everything is well thought out on this monster. It has a long, self-spooling, ratcheting strap to hold the object to be moved in place, and the buckle is even covered to protect from scratching, all the metal that might come into contact with the object to be moved is covered in felt or rubber, and it has the treaded stair climbers.

Oh, and the extra wheels. What can I say - they are cool and lock into place nicely.

It's almost 6' tall, but can be stored in a fairly small space if you're creative.

UPDATE: So I just moved an old welded steel boiler out of my basement in one piece with this thing. The boiler was so heavy that I could barely budge it an inch while sitting on concrete. I cannot say the weight because I've never moved an item that heavy before, but it was too intimidating to move and wasting 4 sq. ft. of space for years. A friend helped me load it, and we left it loaded all day on its four wheels while hooking a winch to a tree to pull it up the stairs. We then managed to get it through the yard and garage door, down a step (smoothly) and onto a truck. The strap alone was holding the boiler on at times. We used the heck out of this thing, and a close inspection shows barely a scratch. Amazing!

UPDATE#2: I've since used this to move some air conditioning equipment around that I had delivered to my house and I was also able to fairly easily get a 450# gun safe into the spot where that boiler used to be wasting space. I had a friend's help to actually get it down the stairs, but moving it around before and after is at my leisure because I have this mammoth mover sitting around. Very happy to have this always available.
