'Jack-in-a-Box' 2-Ton 4000 Lb Lift Capacity Easy-Carry Hydraulic Jack with Storage Case Review

Since I don't use a jack often, I wanted something for changing seasonal tires. This seemed like a good deal, came with a case and everything. Unfortunately the case arrived cracked. On my fourth tire the crank pin broke the first time I used it. Not fixable, not useable. Since this is not worth the money to ship back, I would call it a "waste-in-a-box" Spend a little more and get something that will last.

Ptc International Inc 4str33390 Heavy Duty Strapahandle 84" Review

This product deserves a review. It is a bit confusing to buy online, so I hope this review helps out:
I'll compare the Strap A Handle (SAH) to a Velcro Velstrap, Upto 50 lbs, Black (90482).
First of all I must say that the Velcro Velstrap is 6'and the strap a Handle I am reviewing is listed as 7'.
There are 5 differences other then the listed length:

1. The built of the handle
2. The orientation of the handle
3. The way the belt is tightened
4. The working length of the strap
5. The price

First the built of the handle: The Velstrap is just a piece of belt. So it is not comfortable to lift something heavy. The SAH is a nice cushioned tubular handle. So it is much better to lift long and heavy.

Second, the orientation of the handle. The Velstrap is oriented in the direction of the belt, while the SAH is oriented at a 90 degree angle. This matters because most of the times you will tighten the belt around the short side of the item you want to carry. The 90 degree angle gives you the best hold when carrying.

Third is the way the belt is tightened. The Velstrap uses velco, which holds well. The SAH uses two metal buckles that lock when the belt is tightened. This holds good as well.

Fourth and very important is the working length of the strap. Because of the way the belt is tightened. The SAH has a better efficiency regarding working length. With the SAH you only lose about 2" of the total length. With the Velstrap you lose about 10". This is a major difference in favor of the SAH.

Fifth is the price. The SAH is a bit more expensive but it is really worth it. You can also look at the 72" HD StrapaHandle which is listed as a 6ft as well, but has 8" more working length then the Velstrap. The SAH is only a bit more expensive, but a much better product.

MARSHALLTOWN The Premier Line SKY2124 Skywalker 2.1 24-Inch to 40-Inch Drywall Stilts Review

I bought a set through Amazon warehouse deals. Item was as they stated, shipped in cosmetic damaged box. Not too bad. Stilts were never used never set up so I was happy.
I have had to call customer service on setting these up since the instructions are a bit lacking. They do not include or tell you what size allen wrench to use on heel adjustment. I called and he did not know. I have a small set for my bike and a 3mm fits but with a little slop so not sure what size it should be. They also do not explain where the foot should be in relation to the calf post. I have foot pain with these stilts , but more on one side than the other and I am not sure why since I am standing in my own shoes so not sure why my feet hurt. (one foot more than the other. I assume it has to do in part with where the foot is in relation to the calf post. But you only have 3 positions to adjust/ I have a size 7 shoe so have already moved it up one space but will be trying the other two spots to see if that changes anything.
Setting the calf post height created a tad bit of nervous moments since they warn not to over tighten. However you need it tight to keep it in place. I noticed there were little protrusions that look like they meet up with the plate. The trick is you tighten each little by little so they all bottom out and THEN don't over tighten. So if you over tighten one side you would have trouble pulling the other side in and I guess could indeed cause damage to the plate. So the key is to tighten each screw down evenly all the way around little by little and if one side gives resistance back the other side off and the tighten the other side again and keep the plate even until the four points on the plate touch the opposite plate at the same time. Then tight down and you will be fine.
Adjusting the spring was also not explained. Calling Marshalltown, they said to start tighter , maybe 1/3rd up. I did find with the spring it does make turning the wheel a bit tricky/ Getting to 1/3rd took a little effort. It helps to tug on the spring while turning.
However, I still not sure where they should be set. I called and told him I felt like the foot was pushing back. He said to loosen it but not to bottom out. that you should feel like you would not fall forward without some push back. But when walking it should not be springing back at you. I know, it is hard to explain and probably why they did not. I suggested they need a video on setting up and adjusting since this design is so different.
I like the ratcheting straps but do wonder how long they last as they are just a plastic. I wonder why they did not put a ratchet on the front toe strap. I have a short foot so the strap as to angle on the pivot but wonder if this has anything to do with my foot pain.
I like the padding on the calf post. I guess the only concern is if you caught the quick release it could be dangerous. However I have not caught it yet, just be mindful if you rubbed up and hooked something you could release the strap.
I have not noticed any slippage from the hard composite foot. I have been on asphalt, supermarket floors and grass. I am still taking it easy but it does not slip around. The manufacturer states to stay away from wet surfaces. My neighbor has the traditional rubber foot and he said he as slipped on wet surfaces as well so I am not sure the harder foot is the issue. I have heard maybe they will release a softer foot but right now my fears are greatly reduced after trying them
I think these are nice and if were not for the lack of detailed set up instructions and the foot pain with in minutes of using, I would give it 5 stars. I am not deducting the star for foot pain as much as the lack of set up instructions. I mean they should provide the allen key or list the size at least and do more than warn about over tightening but explain how to do it. A few lines of text they could fit. but today they can just make youtube videos instructions.
