The Bike Pro Wheel Chock arrived in good condition. It is well constructed and simple to install. However, their installation instructions could have saved me a lot of time if they would have added a note of warning if also installing the Bike Pro Tie Down Strap. My problem with this wheel chock is that my 2006 Honda VTX1300 front tire become tightly lodged in the front part of the chock. It was so tight that the removable chock came apart from the base plate leaving my bike loose in the back of the truck. What a hoot! ...trying to get an 800 lb bike with a tire boot on the front wheel out of the bed of a pick up truck. With the help of my neighbors and a small sledge hammer I successfully unloaded the bike with the shiny side up. Before I use the wheel chock again I plan to modify it to prevent my wheel from shifting into the narrow part.

Rockler Roller Support with Universal Clamp Review

The photo is confusing because it shows two rollers on a work bench. In fact, my photo shows two on the miter box stand I made using a Jawhorse Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse. And for a lot of applications like this, you need two. If you are building just a stand to be at the end of your table saw, you probably can get away with just one.

I bought these support clamps specifically for the miter box project. I considered a couple of the Rockler free standing units, Rockler Heavy-Duty Fliptop Roller Stand and Rockler Panel Support Attachment for Flip Top Roller Stand and the Triton multi stand. These seemed the best for me. Mostly because if you move the miter box stand, I can pick it up and the whole thing moves, and I don't have to move two more independent support stands. Now that could also be a reason to get those other stands as then they would be free to be positioned anywhere. I figure I can make a free standing support that I could clamp one of these rollers to if and when I need it.

On the support rollers themselves, they seem really well built but I haven't put the years of abuse/use I expect from my tools. I do take care of my stuff but as anyone who works with tools, things happen.

So remember you are only getting one roller for this price. Sometimes they go on sale (I got mine that way by sheer luck that they were on sale the day I needed them.) So watch for bargains.

Harper Trucks PGLYSK19BLK Nylon Hand Truck Review

My main interest that made me get this item, a good handtruck, was that I personally didn't want to risk another back injury by heftying it into and out of a vehicle. Nor do I want to see anybody else injured. This Harper Nylon Hand Truck only weighs 21.4 pounds. It's a high-tech hand truck. And it has a 300 pound capacity, which exceeds all uses we'd have for it.

Originally we used it as intended to move boxes of servers and equipment. In our business, we buy computing equipment for the customers for whom we maintain their networks, and they need us to do this because we're a registered vendor and get discounts in all the hardware. We get a lot of use out of a 2-wheel dolly; we have to take it with us along with the equipment when we make deliveries.

But then somebody decided we needed this hand truck to permanently hold our charging battery, which is heavy and thus the requirement was a charging system that every office worker could manage - it couldn't be too heavy. (We keep a charging battery to jump car batteries as needed.) We're not going to keep moving this heavy battery on and off a hand truck along with its thick and heavy cables. We will probably end up getting another one of these Harper hand trucks because of the weight-strength ratio. The deal is, I've had back surgery and we don't want injuries. Out other dolly is heavy solid steel and weighs too much.

We're now back to loading this heavy 2-wheeler onto our vehicles (sports utility vehicles) because we need it when we reach the client sites. After experiencing the Harper lightweight hand truck, nobody likes using the heavy solid steel dolly anymore. But at the end of the day, this is probably an insurance consideration for us, so we'll go for a high-tech lightweight dolly again. This is the only one we are familiar with, hence we'll order another of these.

Amazon went out of there way to get this to me after saying it was on a shipping delay.

What I received: The chain hoist was made in China. I put it up and tried to use it but it would lockup. I finally opened it up and the inside was full of machined metal shavings and grit. Even the bearings were gritty with shavings and grit. The inside parts were roughly manufactured and razor sharp. I took it all apart got some gasoline a small paint brush and the air compressor. One of the bearings I couldn't get out so I had to clean it in place. After cleaning out all the shavings and grit I re-lubricated and re-assembled and for 6 months now it has worked perfect.
